Unity Wallet, the self-custodial crypto and Web3 wallet known for its industry-leading encryption, unique functionality, and intuitive design, has launched Gasless Send, enabling users to send USDT or USDC stablecoins in one step, without needing native tokens to cover gas fees.
Cryptocurrency wallet applications have, for the most part, failed to create the seamless, intuitive experience that today’s users expect. Historically, stablecoin transfers have incurred gas fees paid in the underlying blockchain’s native token, meaning users have to hold a separate store of tokens to pay fees.
While individual chains and wallets have trialed gasless transactions before, Unity Wallet is the first to bring a seamless, cross-chain, gasless experience for the two most widely used stablecoins, USDT and USDC, across 9 blockchains.
Gasless Send simplifies USDT and USDC transfers by bundling network fees into the overall transaction cost. This simplifies the transfer process and user experience by eliminating the need for users to acquire and manage native tokens just to cover gas fees, removing a major hurdle to broader adoption and making stablecoin transfers far more intuitive and efficient.
Now, when sending USDT or USDC in the app, users will see a new toggle switch to enable the Gasless Send function. Once they have activated the smart contract, the fee will be included in the total amount transmitted, eliminating the requirement to fund the transaction with native tokens. Gasless Send is available on the following nine blockchains: Tron (TRX), Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC), Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism (OP), Avalanche (AVAX), Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Ink (INK) and Base (BASE).
James Toledano, COO of Unity Wallet, commented: “Despite growing interest in stablecoins, many users are deterred by the often cumbersome two-step process of sending them. Whether you’re new to crypto or an experienced user, we’re committed to removing the hassle and providing a smooth and intuitive experience when sending leading stablecoins, which can now happen in a single step.”
Gasless Send is the latest addition to Unity Wallet’s suite of features. In September 2024, Unity Wallet announced its loyalty program, rewarding users for buying, selling, swapping, sending, staking, and social engagement. In March 2025, it launched DeFi Earn, allowing users to seamlessly deposit Tether USDT into Aave’s liquidity pools across six blockchains. Unity will continue to launch innovative products and services to make the crypto and Web3 experience far simpler and more intuitive.

- Every gasless send requires a one-time “Approve Allowance” to authorize the token’s smart contract. Older contracts (e.g. USDT on TRX) need a separate paid transaction (~22 TRX ≈ $5). Newer contracts (e.g. USDC on ETH) bundle the approval into the first send, so no extra step is needed. After that, future gasless sends are as cheap — or cheaper — than regular transactions, enabling fast, one-step transfers.
- Gasless Send may not always be the cheaper option (with the exception of TRX), but it is usually quicker, and fees are determined in real-time based on network congestion and other factors outside of Unity’s control. Fees will vary.
