Globatalent, the sports blockchain platform that will decentralize the sports industry, has announced today that it will be the official ‘Talent Sponsors’ of the upcoming Mediterranean Ladies Open.
The Estrella Damn Mediterranean Ladies Open is a professional golf tournament which is part of the Ladies European Golf Tour and it was first played in 2017. Taking place at the incredible Terramar Golf Club, near Barcelona in Spain, the tournament has a prize offering of €300,000. Last year, the tournament was won by English golfer Florentyna Parker spectacularly overcoming a four-shot deficit.
This year, the tournament will take place between the 17th and 23rd of September and the official talent sponsors will be Globatalent. Globatalent is a blockchain platform which will change sports funding for the future generation of athletes. Globatalent will be able to help future talent in every sport all over the world and allows talented athletes to have an opportunity to make it to professional status that they may not have had previously due to economic reasons. The CEO of the project, Sunil Bhardwaj is currently at the Dubai Blockchain Summit discussing Blockchain and how it will impact the sports industry.
Sunil has commented “Being official Talent Sponsors of the Mediterranean Ladies Open is part of everything we stand for and everything Globatalent is striving for. We feel it is imperative to be involved in a tournament that is rapidly growing and is currently doing a magnificent job at promoting the quality of female golfers.”
Globatalent’s commitment to helping future athletes in the game is backed up by offering a prize for the ‘best young promise’ in the tournament.
This news comes very shortly after Globatalent announced impressive names as part of their ‘Official Supporter’ list – Real Betis versatile defender Marc Bartra and South Korean wonderkid Seung Woo-Lee joining world class super star supporters like FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez and LA Lakers veteran Maurice Evans amongst others.
