JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#BTCexpedition--Bitcoin is coming to the state capital of Missouri on October 26th. Whether you are a seasoned vet or a newcomer, Bitcoin Expedition 2023 serves as the premier event for Midwesterners to learn about the potential impact of Bitcoin on the region. Hosted by Build Asset Management (“Build”), an investment manager focused on income and risk mitigation in public and private credit markets, Bitcoin Expedition 2023 features an exceptional speaker lineup, insightful panels, and engaging networking opportunities. Open to everyone, tickets are still available for the one-day event on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at The Millbottom in Jefferson City, MO.
"Bitcoin Expedition is specifically for Midwesterners. The conference is going to cut through the noise and get down to brass tacks on what Bitcoin is, why it is important, and how it can positively impact everyday folks in the region," says John Ruth, co-founder and CEO of conference host Build Asset Management. "Bitcoin has been around for 15 years now. It is a serious asset class that is growing in adoption and usage. Institutions, pensions, endowments, retirement plan providers, utilities, insurance companies, you name it. They're coming into the space. These are the trends we're going to highlight at the conference to help local people make sense of it all and have some fun doing it."
The one-day conference features an all-star lineup of speakers covering everything from Bitcoin 101 education to Bitcoin’s relevance to a multitude of industries. Keynote speakers include Natalie Brunell, host of the #1 woman-hosted Bitcoin podcast and frequent commentator on FOX Business, and Warren Wood, Vice President of Regulatory & Legislative Affairs at Ameren Missouri. Panelists include Marty Bent, Parker Lewis, Becca Rubenfeld, Rob Hamilton, Sam Callahan, Andy Flattery, Ilya Rekhter, Keith Laska, Trey Sellers, Jared Orem, and more.
Doors to the conference will open at 8am. The agenda will feature a morning session focused on Bitcoin education, history, how-to workshops, and common pitfalls to avoid. An afternoon session will feature keynote presentations and panels about industry trends. Lunch will be served between the sessions, and the event will conclude with a whole hog barbeque catered by Sweet Smoke BBQ.
“We’ve seen strong ticket sales and still have several weeks left to go before the conference,” says Matt Dines, co-founder and Chief Investment Officer at Build. “This is not going to be the Miami Beach crypto crowd. Attendees are local and regional business owners, investors, financial industry professionals, government officials, and people curious about Bitcoin and the opportunity it represents. We’re going to spend the day learning, and then enjoy an evening of great food and networking to cap it off. It’s going to be a special day, and everyone is welcome.”
