Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange, announced the launch of a new service which allows merchants to accept payments in bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ethereum and litecoin.
The product, Coinbase Commerce, can be directly integrated into a merchant’s checkout flow or added as a payment option on an e-commerce platform.
E-commerce platform Shopify, which is already accepting Bitcoin payments, is one of the first platforms to start using the service, said Coinbase. This is a big deal, as Shopify claims it powers over 500,000 businesses in 175 countries.
